Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Thursday Report. The striper fishing remains good inspite of the high winds and cooler weather. Since our last report our boats have caught fish up to 28 pounds on freelined bluebacks, XPS pointers, and redfins. This morning the fish were back up in 4-5 feet of water on points and around reef poles. We are also catching and releasing some big spots while striper fishing. We don't target spots, but they are biting the bluebacks, redfins, and pointers very well. We've had some 30-50 fish days on spots while striper fishing lately. Some of these spots have been 6-7 pounds. All have been released, except for a 7 pounder that a man caught on a pointer minnow and got mounted. Overall, the fishing is good.
