Date Fished: 4/21/2007
Water Temperature: 45
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Finally back on the water. Man I thought winter would never end.

Not much to report. All the recent rain had water levels up a couple of feet. The water was very murky and cold, ranging from 41 to 47 degrees.

What's that you say? What about the fish? Oh, you mean I'm supposed to catch fish doing this? Not so much this trip. I had one strike, hooked the fish, then lost it in some timber. None of the usual early spring patterns produced, rocky flats, shallow wood, deep points, hauled water on all of them.

Better luck next week.
