Date Fished: 4/27/2007 Friday, fished Lake Hanley in the G.S. State Forest. Wind was heavy out of the north and it was cloudy, so I thought a spinnerbait would work best. Only caught 1 fish on the spinnerbait, it was a 6.5 pound monster. The bass was caught in the north end of the narrows area between the upper and lower lake. Most of the narrows is choked with weeds now, but I chopped it up with my motor to help keep a channel for the electric motor boat guys. The bait that worked awesome was a senko. I started throwing the Tiki Wave Worm in green pumpkin color, and caught a bunch of bass. Over 20 with quite a few of them over 15". On Saturday, I went back to the same area and the sun was out and wind was much less, so sight fishing I was able to see multiple big bass getting ready to nest. On Green Lake I seen 2 big females, one on the main lake and another in the annex. I drove around to the different lakes, and on every one I seen a least 1 big female circling an area with a male close by. I think they would have spawned Saturday night or Sunday night. The moon looks good and the water temp on Saturday was up to 65F. By Sunday the water had to be up near 68F. micropteris
