Subject: Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri

Submitted by Spinnerbait3 (ip 70.12.152.149)

Date Fished: 5/1/2007
Water Temperature: 62
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

I fished the Grand Glaize arm of the Ozarks from April 23-25. Water clarity was from 2-3 feet. I had good results throwing a jerk bait around boat docks in 10-20 feet of water along with watermelon lizards up on the bank for the spawning fish. Can anybody explain why the Corps of Engineers elects to lower the lake level one foot in one day? I'm guessing someone in St. Louis needed some electricity. I'm guessing it confused the crappie and bass up on the bank because the bite slowed down greatly.
