First off I would like to thank T and S marine in Oakwood for the outstanding job on my boat, and for the speedy turn over.as it turned out I did indeed have a leaking shift shaft seal.so... I took a vacation day todday to run my boat and make sure everything was working properly. I hit my first stop at 8am. my second cast produced a nice 15# striper, very exciting seeing those things crash a topwater bait. now I think to myself this usually only goes 2 ways after catching a good fish on my first or second cast.either A) its going to be a good day or B) I got lucky and wont get another bite for hours. lucky for me it was A, the stripers were pounding topwater on just about every point I fished early. and all the way through the day I would still see 3 and 4 stripers at a time cruising up with a spot I was fighting in. The spotted bass were full blast also. I had one spot hit my chug bug so hard the bait went through his gill and hooked him in the side. that is EATING it!! no worries the fish was released unharmed..i simply cut my line and unhooked from his side...it went through hills gills so fast it didn't even scratch em' no blood at all. I continued to catch 30+ spots on top today with only 6 or so dropping below 2 1/2# mark. most of the wolf packs I drew up were in the 3 and 4# range. I didn't get to fish for 4 days with the boat in the shop but man did this more than make up for it!

tight lines out there
