Date Fished: 5/13/2007 Launched out of Pendleton. River was screaming. Looked like chocolate milk. Water temp at launch was 79; saw 84 by mid-afternoon. Spent most of our time in Merrisach. Found fish in and along the outside edges of the grass beds. Senkos and trick worms accounted for most of our fish. Did catch a couple on cranks and jigs, but plastics were the ticket for numbers. Oddly, there was no frog bite for us on the grass but if we worked the senko on top of the grass like a frog or a trick worm the fish would cream it. Twitch it across the grass, let if fall when you came to a hole or to the outer edge. Water in Merrisach was a little more user friendly - clarity was about 1-2'. Rains and strong main channel current had not affected the water here much. Most of our bites came between 6:30 and noon. Bite dropped off after that. Tight lines. ATW, B
