Water Clarity: 0 I used to fish at Glen Shoals, but they raised the rates. I decided to fish Coffeen this season, and I'm glad I did. This was my 3rd visit this year. All three visits, I found definate patterns. Today it was a small x-rap, silver/red, worked on the outside edge of the weedlines near 12-15 feet of water. There was a stiff wind, and the bigger fish were caught on the windy side, waiting for the waves to wash in baitfish. The fish wanted about a 4 sec. pause after a mild jerk of the rod. They always hit just as the lure stopped. Many fish in the 12-15 range with a few in the 15-18 range. All in all about 25 fish from 5:45 PM until dark.
