Date Fished: 6/10/2007 Got out for the early AM bite - launched out of Island Harbor; stayed in the harbor area the entire trip. Saw 80 degrees at launch; warmed to 83 by the time the sun broke over the tree tops. Water in the harbor has cleared up a little more and is at normal pool. Main channel was muddy. CoE was pulling water hard this morning. Had a good topwater bite w/ Sammy, Spook Jr, and white buzzers. As soon as the the sun came up the bite died. Switched to senkos (greens) and found fish holding tight to brush/rocks. It seemed that every little branch or twig sticking up out of the water had a fish on it. I let the bait sit for a few seconds before moving it. Fish seemed to like it better after it sat a while. Still seeing lots of baitfish in the backwater areas. Huge pods of them. Had one fish ~ 3 lbs that had a torn up corner on its mouth (an older wound that had healed) - obviously had been caught before. Catch and release works! Tight lines. ATW, B
