Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater

Finally, the smallmouth and largemouth were hitting like crazy. My friend and I caught 30 fish with most of them in the 2 to 5 lb. range.Hardly any of them were deep . We started out of gate 43 and proceeded north past the flats and promptly caught a 5lb. smallie in about 14 feet of water. From there we headed back south again stopping at likely spots. We caught most of the fish on 6" and 10" worms(black). We tried a lot of other things but that's what we caught them on.Any other success stories out there? Good luck.
