Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Didn't plan on going today, but things worked out differently than planned so I headed for the pond. Put in at Vann's Tavern at 6am. Started out just fishing the shoals out in the mouth of 2-mile and by 6:45 had put 4 nice fish in the boat on a BIG spinnerbait. Headed straight across the lake to the hump where the yacht got grounded some time back and started pitching a worm in 20-25ft. Had the Pop-R handy and sure enough some came up behind me and I managed to get 1 out of the group, but nothing big. Didn't get bit on the worm so I moved back out to the shoal out towards the river and caught another nice fish on the spinnerbait. Moved then back into Chatt.Bay and got 1 fish to come up on the spook but missed it. Watched some guys in a striper boat hang and lose a couple. Probably got 'em in those trees at the edge of the big hump. They had a good fight for a minute though. Moved farther south to Young Deer and a couple humps in that area and could not find any fish there. Had 6 at that time(about 10am) and just couldn't find anymore. I hate to catch less than 10 so I headed back to 2-mile back into the creek behind the launch to fish a couple points and docks that are usaually good for at lease 1 each. Caught 1 nice fish off 1 dock and 3 other small fish, that got me to 10 and I was happy. Pulled out a little after 12n. Surface activity was beginning to pick up so the afternoon bite might be pretty good today for the late guys.
