Date Fished: 6/30/2007 Launched at Island Harbor, stayed in the harbor for this trip (4 hours or so). Water at the entrance to PB Harbor is heavily stained (chocolate milk). The main river channel is screaming (CoE site said 500K cfs as of 10 PM yesterday). Lotsa floaters of all sizes. Water temp was 80 at launch, rose to 83 when we came off at 10 AM. Water in the back of the harbor is still in good shape, but is up a couple feet. Found fish holding tight to wood, brush, and riprap early, then holding off of the first drop (5-7') as the sun started to get high. Senkos (greens, had to have some red in it) accounted for most of our early fish. Had a couple topwater hits (spook jr). Jigs and t-rigged creature baits accounted for our later fish. Key was to pass the bait thru submerged brush. All bites were pretty aggressive. Hybrids are schooling in the back of the harbor. Managed to catch a couple on shallow divers (Bandit 100s) in shad patterns. No big ones, just little guys (maybe 12"). Pretty quiet on the water today - saw maybe 3 or 4 other boats max. Floaters are all over the place in the back of the harbor so be careful. Tight lines. ATW, B
