Date Fished: 7/6/2007 Fished with a co-worker yesterday from Linton. We decided to give Green Lake a rest, and try a pit he has been doing well on. Goose Lake. Got on the water too late for the early bite, around 9am with a clear blue sky. Caught a couple dinks on plastics, then got on a good pattern with crankbaits. Had to use baits that would go 12ft plus, working the deepest parts of the lake that came off of really nice weed beds. Both of us ended up with over 10 fish each, and had some channel cats on the crankbaits too. A lot of fish are right at the 14" limit, but very fat. Didn't land any skinny fish at all. The lakes in the area are really beautiful water and are well stocked. Just had to work to get them to bite.
