Water Clarity: 0 We were amazed at the size and clarity of this lake. Our first day out was sunny and hot, 89 degress. Not too successful in catching any sizable fish. Second day, again hot and humid weather. We found a "honey spot" just along a weedbed and fished in about 5 to 9 ft. of water. Fished very shallow depth. Cold front had moved in and was cloudy with light sprinkles. Caught 16 bluegill, (small ones), 2 blue catfish and 1 channel cat all over 17 inch in lenght and 2 spoted largemouth bass, 1-16 1/2" long and the other one was 18 1/2" in length. We had good luck as fishing for the bass, as we heard from the State Park officers, that bass fishing was very slow. We loved Patoka lake and plan to return there soon!!!
