Subject: Lay Lake, Alabama Submitted by Bring It Baits
Date Fished: 8/11/2007 We had 16 boats last week, today we had 8. Guess the heat kept some away. It wasn't too bad with the breeze. It did however look like the 4th of July with all the ski boats and jet skiers. Peronally I stunk it up with only 2 legal fish, and a third flopin out of the boat as I measured it. Then the scales messed up half way through the weigh in. Luckily someone had some close by. We'll have good scales from now on. First place 12.30 and big fish 4.9 went to Brian Hughes for $400 Wasn't enough boats to pay second but Daniel Hill and Matt Beard came a very close second with 12.15. We needed 2 more boats to have enough to give away the Bringitbaits.com tackle package. We will have our tournament next Sat. out of Okomo 5:15 till noon. I was told there is going to be some kind of wakeboard competition in Beeswax.
