Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Fished Webster Lake second time on Saturday overcast rain/sunny day. It was not a good trip for me the first time back in Augest because I had to battle white caps all day long. 09/15 Staurday is a good day to fish. Arrived on the lake about 8:30. Overcast and a very little wind. Caught 3 keeper LMB on Zara spook. Around noon time, wind pick up. Lost a bigger LMB (2-3 lb range) on spook. It boiled water 2 times as it hit and miss. Finally, it was free from the hook when it airboned. Caught a huge perch on spinnerbait in weedy flat; a keeper size smallmouth and LMB on 10 feet crankbait when wind really blow hard. Around 4-5, wind slows down. Sun came out. Caught another LMB near the bank oppsite town launching ramp. 3 pickerals here and there. I saw few boats fishing the bank with no results...All fish came from 5-15 feet of water. There is nothing to say about the size.
There are areas is very shallow. Underwater humps and bars are just 2 feet under the water and they are not noticeable. Be careful when you drive in between islands.
