Date Fished: 10/5/2007

Water Temperature: 73
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Got out for a quick solo trip this morning and got on some pretty good stripers. Landed a 26, a 19, and 2 that were in the 15 lb range. All came on big gizzard shad behind planers. I had a flatline out but it never got hit??? With the surface temp falling some fish have definitely moved up to shallower water. I was not in the river today but I was on the north end. My general plan was to pull bait around shallow flats near deeper water in an area that had a lot of bait around. I also saw quite a few Spots or LM busting shad on the surface but could never seem to be in range to cast on them. Tight Lines. Dirk
