Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Didn't try to get an early start as I knew the windshield would be icy. Pulled up to the ramp to find heavy fog and a NH club on the river. I couldn't see more than 50', so I ideled to the first rock pile. First fish was a 1.25lb LMB followed by a 1.25lb SMB. Kept the trolling motor in the water and headed for the flat that had given up some nice SMB the past two trips. Nothing! The fog began to lift and the sun burned through revealing tourny boats. Made a short run south to a rocky bank where a small spinnerbait tricked a few more SMB to the boat. Tourny boats went up and down the river hitting several spots, but noticed no one stopped on one bank so I crossed over and worked that bank. Got big SMB of the day at 2.6 along with several other smaller fish and another LMB. 12 fish was all I could manage and that was disappointing to say the least, with only one decent fish. Here it is the middle of October and the water is still almost 60. Heck, I'm surprised no one was water-skiing!
