Date Fished: 10/24/2007

Water Temperature: 71
Water Clarity: Not reported

The surface temps are holding just above 70 deg and the water level is dropping, as you know. Its right at 15 feet below full now. I am still using Old Federal ramp with no issues and there is a few feet left on it. One ranp at Big Creek and the Shoal Creek ramp is still open for sure on the east side. Some of the lake is still turning as the water is off colored in some of the creeks. Look for the green water if possible.

Fishing has been very good as you have heard. I have been doing very well on Topwater, jigs, spinnerbaits, swimbaits and jerkbaits. As this water cools, it will only get better. My big swimbait bite has come back as we are getting some very nice fish on a 7" Triple Trout everyday. A few of the pic below come on that bait. I am using the 7" most of the time but the 6" will get them as well. I have only fished two colors. The trout and the green back (not sure the name). Lake Lanier fishing and Outdoors has these bait as they are the only supplier on the east coast. They only get a few per month so give them a call if you are interested. Mike told me yesteday that he has some in stock.

I have still be doing good in the later part of the morning into the afternoon on top with a spook and vixen. Fishing these baits over deep structure in 25-30 feet of water. My jig bite has come back as we have caught some nice fish over the last few days on a 3/8 ounce jig worked around deep water structure. The jerkbait (flashminnow or rogue) has been doing good on brush and the morning bite with the Mini me (white with single blade) has been great. In other words, junk fishing. LOL. I have not been taking alot of pictures but we are having some great days. The double picture below is a double we caught yesteday on topwater and swimbait. I do appoligise for the hat in the last picture. I tried to crop it out but it got in there somehow. LOL.

I had a cancellation for tomorrow, Thursday October 25th. If anyone is intersted, drop me a line today.

Good luck out there and pray for rain.

Shannon, you were correct. The Sox pulled it out.
