Water Temperature: 68+
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Took the annual fall trip to Lake Wateree ended up fishing from 10/23 until 11/2. Been on Wateree for 15 years and this was the best two weeks I have ever had. First week was Largemouth early and Stripers and whites late. Mom and Dad and I averaged 25 largemouth per day between 1.5 and 5 lbs!! We capped off each day with schooling whites and stripers, biggest striper was 18 lbs!! Mom and Dad had a ball!! Brought my wife down Saturday 10/27 we caught 32 largemouth all quality fish, she topped us out with a 4.75 pounder!! Left and returned on 10/30 with my brother in law largemouht were slow and the bright sunshine slowed down the schooling some. We got on the crappie 10/31 and had a hey day!! We caught 40 on Wedneasday and 35 on Thursday, Friday my retired buddy from Columbia came up for the afternoon and he took home 35. Don't know how many we threw back. We don't keep anything less than 10 inches and we threw back many 11 and 12 inch fish. The water is down but the fishing is great!!
