Finally got back on the water before the year was over ! We have spent the last two weeks in Oklahoma in Tulsa,Collingsville, Skiatook and Prue on the recent ice storm restoring power with most of my folks getting home just in time for Christmas arriving last night and today back in Alabama , Georgia and South Carolina . The folks in Oklahoma were fantastic and very patient as the crews worked to get the lights back on and for that we thank them ! Now for a fishing report ! Kevin Maddox and myself hit the lake this morning with air temps around 25 and fished jigheads and crankbaits on the lower end catching keepers along with a few good fish . The fish early came from ledges with the fish around 12 foot deep and as it warmed we caught a few on crankbaits in the shallows in the 3 to 6 foot range . All spots today . 3/16 oz spotsticker jigheads and ss magic magnum hand pours worked well along with the shad rap both fished on spinning tackle . Kevin is shown with a couple of the better fish that decided to be fooled by the artificial stuff .
