Water Clarity: 1 foot Fished Guerrero 2/24-2/28 stayed at Big Bass camp, facilities,food excellent all the way around,...(Rafeal uno mas margarita por favor) fishing on the tough side, wind blew like RIP.. had 2 cold fronts push through within the time frame fished..Largest Bass 5.5 on 5" Christmas tree senko in Pilon river area flippng larger trees second largest bass 5.2 on 10" Tequelia sunrise worm fishing in first cove north of the damn..third largest bass 4.14 on Christmas tree Senko flipping larger trees in Pilon river area look for clearest water in the area..fourth largest bass 3.8 on green pumpkin chartruse tail cream wackey stick(senko)area was insight of old mission in Old Padilla flipping larger trees water in this area was the clearest we found. Ten fisherman averaged 15-25 fish per boat per day. All other fish caught on 6-8" lizards green pumpkin,watermelon/red watermelon/candy dipping tails chartruse. White and chartruse spinnerbaits silver and gold willowleaf 3/8 -1/2 oz., gold and silver/ blue back rattletraps 1/2-3/4 oz and caroline rigs. Top water bite never happened tried many different colors and baits. Other group staying at Big Bass Lodge largest fish 10.5 Pumpkin seed chartruse tail lizard in area insight of mission of Old Padilla approximately 1 kilometer north of mission east side of lake south of the Pilon river.. our trip also was hindered because we were on the back side of the full moon 3/4-1/2 the time we were there. Water level at Guerrero is EXCELLENT.. the next 2-6 weeks should produce some good fishing with the chance at a double digit fish of a lifetime. (25th trip south of the border) Good Luck!
