Water Clarity: 6 inches Results of Anglers of Christ Guest Tournament held on March 15, 2008 in Patterson on the Bayou Teche.
Hurricane Alphonse must have blown into town as Anglers of Christ members faced winds in the 25 to 30 MPH range with wind gusts into the 40’s. The wind evidently did not bother the duo of Daniel Bryant and Jason Prather as both anglers caught their limit. Their 10.92 lb sack led the pack on the team side for the day.
Lawrence Brunet teamed up with Russell Dorion to bag a 4 fish, 8.13 lb total for 2nd place. Jim Walton hooked up with David Zabolio to take 3rd place with 4 fish weighing 7.41 lbs. 4th had Randy Prejean and Elmer Savoie with 6.80 lbs anchored by Prejean’s Big Fish for the day, a nice 2.84 lb bass. Robert Giles and Mark Angelle brought in 3.78 lbs for 5th while Joe Phillips and Bubba Patin completed the Top Six with a 2.20 lb total.
Individually, Walton’s 5.92 lbs took 1st, Bryant’s 5.84 lbs had 2nd, Prather’s 5.08 lbs nailed down 3rd. Prejean’s bagged 4.95 lbs for 4th, Brunet was close behind with 4.59 lbs for 5th and Giles’ had 3.78 lb to round out the Top Six.
Anglers of Christ will be headed across the state line into Texas for its 3rd stop, a 2 day tournament on Sam Rayburn taking place on April 11th and 12th.
