Water Clarity: 2-3 feet My wife(Vegas) and I got to the Big Sam around noon on 3-19-08. It was really windy from the North. We did manage to find a ramp that we could put in and fished protected coves for the rest of the day. We had about 15 keeper size fish by the end of the day and around 10 dinks. Most of the keeper fish were around 16 inches long and were in very shallow water (1 foot to 2 foot). It did not seem to matter what bait was presented. We caught them on worms, senkos, lizards, and hogs. All plastics were green. Vegas did manage to catch a really nice one (24 inches long). I somehow lost my scale so we don't know how much it weighed. The next morning we went into Five Fingers and managed around 6 to 7 nice keepers before 9 a.m. These fish also came in 1 to 2 foot of water. We moved into Norris and finished the morning. We had around 8 fish in Norris, the biggest about 18 inches. We ate lunch and went back out in the afternoon and fished the Needmore side of the lake. We had around 10 keeper fish (16 to 17 inches) and 10 dinks. All in all a very nice trip. All fish were released including the big one Vegas caught.
