Well, it has been awhile since I been fishing on "The Lake"and boy did it feel good to do so. The Last week I had Takahiro & Shomi from Japan. Takahiro guides on the Lake's around Mt. Fuji for bass. These 2 young Anglers were excellent fisherman in all ways and brought with them some of the best equiptment & lure's I have ever seen.

We started out the first 2 Days fishing for Peacock Bass in Miami, with all artificial baits. What a fantastic day as they were having as Takahiro hooked into a 10 LB. largemouth that spit the hook at the boat, what a surprise. The boys caught most of the peacock's on top water, jerk baits, & Jigs. 11 Total

Day 3 we headed to the Everglades where together they caught over 20 bass up to 5 lb. and missing 3 larger bass in the heavy cover , The bait of choice was gambler Cane Toads, Ace, and other similar Japanese baits, that I never seen before.

One of their highlights was going to Lake Okeechobee, and visiting Rowland Martins Marina. This 2 day outing scored the boys several Largemouth with 3 over 8 lb. and loosing 1-10 lber. These bass were caught on Sanko's, Ace, giggy heads, & worms. On day 2 of Okeechobee we started out in the same area catching fewer bass and not the size as the day before, today's wind caused us to move into area's that would protect us out of the wind. Starting out with the plastics again and catching a few,Shomi then decided to throw a buzz bait in the middle of the afternoon, and this "Hawg" just crushed it with a massive explosion, so out came the top water baits. For the next hour the bass were hitting Spooks , Big Dawg's and of course other Japanese bait I never seen before. So to sum things up these visitor's from Japan have many picture, stories, & memories to bring home to share.
