Date Fished: 4/7/2008 I spent a few hours on Wheeler this evening. I was mainly breaking in the engine on my boat. However, I could not help but to fish a little. The water on Wheeler is close to full pool. Alot of fish have come shallow with the rising water. I caught 14 largemouth and one smallmouth. Most were caught on a Bomber Long A (Bone) and a YUM Houdini Worm rigged on a Davis Shakey head. Both were fished around spawning areas. The best five would have weighed about 10lbs. I have a opening for an evening trip on Guntersville tomorrow if anyone is interested. I will be on the water during the day, so give me a call at 256-762-0014.
