Date Fished: 4/7/2008 Fished the north end of Rayburn from 4-7-08 through 4-12-08. First two days caught 15 to 20 bass. Overcast with light winds. Caught them on lizards right up against the buck-brush. Had to be in a little light wind to find them. Move back into the buck-brush, out of the wind, couldn't get a bite. Next several days were a bit tougher with wind kicking up to 20-25 mph. Main lake out of the question. Found bass in protected coves, about 20ft out from the buck-brush, but all were small. Caught em on rattletraps. Did manage to hit a few crappie holes over the week and take home about 40. All were still in deep water, but were up around 10-15 ft for the bite. I would drop the shiner to the bottom and slowly reel up. The crappie would tell me when I had hit the right depth. My buddy also had several "noodles" set out if you know what they are. Caught a good number of nice cats. Not the best trip I've ever had....but it was still a good one.
