This report is for Monday - Saturday

Monday- fished a whole day on the lower end and caught 22 most coming on Yum dingers in 1-4 ft of water with no big fish best 5 16-17lbs. We broke off on two good fish, never got to see them don't know how big they were.

Wednesday- fished the lower end again 1/2 day afternoon only caught 12 with the best 5 15-16lbs. Once again the fish were caught on Yum dingers in 1-5 ft.

Thursday and Friday- fished the afternoon 1/2 day on Thursday. On Thursday I thought I would move out a little deeper and see if the bigger fish had moved out of the shallows and were staging on humps and secondary points. I did catch two nice fish on a point between 4-5lbs on 6" yum lizards. I also moved shallow and caught 5 on a frog and of course I caught a couple of more on the Yum dinger. Friday I only made it out an hour before dark and caught 6 on a zara spook 5 in the 3 lb class and 1 5 lber on a secondary point with plenty of grass on it. I had one big one blow up on it but never got a hook in her.

Saturday we put in at Waterfront at 9:00 it was one of those days I really thought the topwater bite would do the trick but never had a sniff on a spook, buzzbait or a frog. With the cloud cover I was surprised but that's fishing. We did have one of those dream days catching 47 biggest was right under 5 lbs, best 5 22+lbs. We lost count on how many 4+ lb bass we caught but no giants. All fish were caught on Yum dingers in 1-6ft of water. My Dad hooked a lunker but it broke. The drag was screaming and I guess the line had a nick somewhere, Oh well it was still a great day. My thumbs look like I was using a cheese grater all day, love the fish thumb.

There is still a lot of fish on beds it really depends on what part of the lake you are on. I noticed some parts of the lake the water was in the low 80's and others the mid 70's big difference.

Can't wait for next week, See you on the water,

Brad (BUCKETMOUTH)
