Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater The spawn is getting close. Fished two days on Pueblo. Monday I caught 4 (2 spots & 2 SM) all on a Lucky Craft Pointer 100 Ghost Minnow off of main lake points. Points made up of the steep bluffs worked best as I believe they were staging vertically beneath the slates. Tuesday was a better day. I caught over a dozen fish from secondary points within Ship Rock. Most came on the same jerkbait, but when the wind died, I switched to a 3/32 Giggy Head tipped with a GP Zoom Finesse worm. Saw lots of cruisers near the backs of creeks just waiting to begin the spawn. Again about have the fish were spots and the rest SM. No LM this time. The interesting tidbit is that nearly every spot was between 14-17 inches. Had 3 SM over 15". With the water as high as it is, the spawn will be exceptional. Definitely time to break out the braided fishing line and the stout flipping stick, as they will be nestled in the bushes and trees.
Fished Ship Rock, North Marina, Denver Cove and the dam. Nothing off the dam.
