Date Fished: 5/5/2008
Water Temperature: 64
Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater

Fished Monday Cinco De Mayo...10 am until 3pm caught 3 fish, 14" being the largest. I figured bluebird skies, drop shot in 6-10 ft would have been the way to go but it was a sparse bite. I tried 5 casts on known fish holding points with numerous colors, finally I decided to go to extremes and put on a 4" bubblegum tiki stick(same as senko) and immediately started getting bit. I had 3 that never made it to the boat so I switched hook styles, rigged it wacky and lost no more. After boating 3, the pink lost its appeal to the fish. I threw a jig with craw in brown/olive fleck to shallow wood and lost a couple small ones doing that.

I need to go to Wilhelm to catch some big bass and lots of them!

Hunt.
