Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Couldn't get my son to wake up this morning so I left him and headed to the river below Ft.Loudon dam. 2 problems faced immediately, too little(as in none) discharge and too much wind. From 10am to 4:30pm I put 13 in the boat, but it was slow. The days saving grace was that I caught the biggest largemouth I've ever caught on the river. It weighed in at 4lb13oz on digital scales. The bite pattern was much more definite today. I caught one big spot early on a big Sammy topwater, but after that everything came off a jig or a jighead with some type of plastic body. The big LM was on a 1/4oz football jighead with a little beaver for body. I did catch one big sauger on a DD22 but could not buy another bite on a crankbait of any type. All the fish today came in around 5-8ft on wood. I don't know what happened to the brown fish but I did not catch any all day which is very unusual since I fished pretty hard for them too. Not my best day but I've had worse so no complaints. Hopefully back next week. Tight lines, Ron
