Water Clarity: 1 foot Our Club held an open tournament today out of Packs Landing. We had a total of 37 boats entered. We also were sharing the water with the Bassmasters Southern Open tourney out of John C.Land. Several competitors from our tournament talked about how they moved aside and let the Bassmasters pros have there area. Winning weight was 5 fish for 16 lbs and some change. The winners took home a check for over $450.00. Big fish for the tourney was 6+ lbs and 2nd big fish was 5+ lbs. There were lots of fish caught today and it was not an easy task only 9 limits weighed in. Most fish were caught on soft plastics and various top water baits early in the day. Some of the fish seemed to still be in spawn mood but no sight fishing was confirmed. All in all it was a good turnout and I would like to thank each and everyone that showed up. This goes to show that the drought did not destroy our great fishery.
