This is a belated report on fishing at the Stick Marsh with George Wellcome.

George taught my pal Randy and I how to use the swimsenko in March at the Stick Marsh, and we caught most of our fish on it, with several fish in the 5-7 lb range.

I took the training George gave me and tried the swimsenko up in Maine right after the ice went off my lake and caught half a dozen on it one afternoon in 49 degree water (60 degree air temp)! The bass were patrolling the shallows and tight to the shore. The lake was high from melting snow. I caught all the swimsenko fish tight to the shoreline next to fallen timber. They hit it either right away or within four feet or so of starting to swim it.

I wouldnt have figured this to be a coldwater bait but it appears to work in cold conditions. Thanks to George for the education and the successful Stick Marsh trip.
