Water Clarity: 0 Sorry for the late report. My partner & I had a chance to fish the Mark's Outdoor Lay Lake Open Tournament. We were boat # 228. We first started out with the Triton 21X hammering upriver. Got to our first place that we had some luck a couple weeks ago. Noticed that the fish were suspended in about 10 foot, so we changed to crankbait & started wacking em. Had a limit at 7:25. Culled a few times & finally started catching a few on shaky worms. Stayed in one general area about 3/4 of the day before start working our way back. We probably caught around 30 fish but just couldn't ever find that kicker fish that we needed. Finished the tournament with 12.98. That was good for 18th place. Took 17 lbs & some change to win. I just want to thank my personal savior, Jesus Christ for a great day with a friend & all the creations that God has blessed us with. Mark & his crew works really hard to put this event on. Thanks to everyone & hope we have a chance to fish it again next year.
