Water Clarity: 2-3 feet My 12 year old son Steven and I fished Lake Moss for the first time together 5/13/08. Arround 7:30 pm in a wind blown cove that only had 3-4 feet of water we both witnessed a feeding frenzy just off the shoreline. I threw out out a 3.5" Skitterpop next to where the feeding was and just moments later the water exploded and my lure was swallowed up. I was using a 6' lightning rod with a light spincasting reel, (Shakspear) loaded with 6 lb Fireline. Both my son and I sreamed at each other at the same time when we saw the 6.25 lb "momma" largemouth jump out of the water and bend my rod in half. Steven did a great job of netting her for me. What a great father/ son experience we had that day. You can count on us coming back again soon. Oh yes, we did also catch several other small males and some brim too.
