Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Got out with a client today wanting to learn some new areas and tactics. The weather man missed it bad.LOL We started the day off in a pocket that was protected from the big south wind we had. Client boated one non-keeper on a pop-r(not sure on the brand it was his but, silver with blue back) we then noticed some shad being chased in the grass. I tied him on a Mask Frog and he worked it for about 15 or so mins. before boating a solid keeper fish. After missing a couple more(due to them just slaping at it except one) went back to his pop-r and boated another fish. The winds shifted just enough to kill that bite(what bite it was so we moved up river from Waterfront. Nothing on the blade so we moved deeper (15-18 feet) on humps that were as protected as we could get fishing an Omega football jig(3/4 greenpumkin) with netbait trailer(PBJ). Client boated a couple of more fish on that and missed a couple as well. He did well fishing that bait in the wind we had and in his defense the misses were more on the wind than the hook set. I had it easy only having to run the trolling motor.LOL ANyway it ended up a good halfday trip for the weather and wind. I fished after the trip on the same pattern on other areas of the lake below waterfront while dodging the rain and did boat some fish but nothing better than the morning trip. I am going out in the AM and have a couple of days open this week due to a client family illness, our prayers are with them. See you on the water.

Oh, the "headless fisherman" agreed to the pic but is internet shy.LOL

God Bless
