Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Launched at South Bay with sunshine and lots of wind. Tried the setbacks that were good to me last trip, but the weeds were nasty and the wind just made it all the harder to fish. First two bites left me minus two lures anyways, so I stayed out in the river portion just covering water. First good fish hit a medium diving crank off a rock pile, but couldn't seem to find much of a patterm with this. Pulled up on a bank that had some wood and thickening weeds and watched a 4lb fish rise from some weeds and suck in my spinner-bait followed by another that went 3lbs. I found myself fighting to get my spinner-bait through the weeds, so I switched to twitching a trick-worm along any wood on this bank and took a half dozen fish between 2.5-3lbs. The wind ended my hopes of working the whole bank so I ran further north to try to seek shelter from the wind, but that didn't work as they seemed to find me no matter where I headed. Several more fish fell for the medium-crank and spinner-bait as the sunshine turned to cloudy skies and rain. About two-dozen LMB fell for my offerings on this windy day.
