Subject: Monksville and Sheppards Lake, New Jersey

Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Fished both sides of the north launch at Monksville. I had one pole rigged with large shiners and then I worked a husky jerk, lipless rattle trap, and a number of soft baits. Nothing doing!! Like Rich H said, it was windy and I was aggravated, so I drove down to Sheppards Lake. Hooked up with a 3lb LM on shiners and caught a small chain pickeral.
