Water Clarity: 0 Went over to Lake Suprise in the Watchung Reservation and caught a decent Largemouth. I was on the end of the lake away from the road, down near the dam. I left and hit the Passaic River in Berkeley Heights at a spot where i saw some cars parked.
I'm new to this area and it was my first time there. Didn't have much time since i got there at 7:00pm. Found a cool spot and casted near some fallen debris. There is a trail along the river so there were plenty of good spots. I could tell people fish here often as i saw empty worm containers and stick used to prop up rods. I didn't catch anything but something made a HUGE splash near some Lilly Pads nearby. It was big whatever it was. I'LL BE BACK.
I guess this is considered part of the upper reaches of the river.
