I had two short trips today, one down the lake and one up the lake. The morning trip we fished from Pine Island down to Browns and Alreds. We hit a lot of areas, mostly with top-water, a big worm and a jig. We found it to be pretty tough, especially further down.

The afternoon trip was a little better, we caught several in the 4+ pound class pitching a 1oz Tight Line jig (June Bug). I use a large, green pumpkin "rabbit ear" type chunk on all of my jigs. The better fish were in deeper hydrilla today.

Thanks so much to those who support the mission at CFC. I got to spend some time with some great kids this past week, and took a few of them fishing. We like to talk a lot about the fishing and the "fun" times with the kids, but the critical part is the precious time we use to teach them and minister to them.
