Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Fishing this week hasn't changed much and the bass are still biting. I have caught fish on several different baits this week and here's what my best baits have been in order of preference. 1) SPRO Dawg 100 or 125 in Clear Chartreuse-walk this bait over main lake humps and points. 2) Basstrix or Shadalicious Swim Baits on a Bass Twitcher belly weighted hook-Swim these baits over the humps or the tree tops just above the bottom. 3) Zoom Finesse Worms on a SPRO K-Bite or Tru Tungsten Ikie Spike 1/8th ounce Jig Heads. Fish these around main lake docks and brush piles at around 20 feet. 4) Dark Colored crank baits or a SPRO Shake and Bake (kind of a Chatter Bait style lure) fished after dark around main lake clay and rock banks. I hope this helps some one catch more fish. Note that Hammond's Wednesday night tournaments have switched over to a 3 bass limit to help cut down on the fish stress.
