Fished the Gambler tourney with Chopper today out of Goose Pond. It started out really nasty and delayed the launch about an hour. I almost turned around because it poured and lightning from Toney to where N. Sauty goes under 72. It was bone dry when I got there but was raining by the time I got to Goose.
The weather appeared to hurt the crowd a little but it was a great day none the less. They wisely changed to a 3 fish limit this morning. We had a respectable 10.51 but just couldn't find that last kicker fish. I think every fish we caught was on the big worm. Our big fish was about 5lbs. We lost a couple that could have made the difference but that's fishing. I heard there was an 18+ bag (THREE FISH!) and saw another guy that had some huge fish but we were gone before he could weigh in.
Thanks to Gambler for putting it on! We'll fish it again next year for sure!
