Date Fished: 6/14/2008 North Carolina Bassmasters held its June tournament Sat. on Kerr Lake. The weather was sunny and hot by 11 AM with light wind. Fish where being caught mostly on C-Rig baby brush hogs, green pumpkin; finese worms and one good fish on a Norman deep little N, mostly on main points with rocks and scattered stumps between hwy 58 bridge and Goat Island in the 5-12 ft range. 1st: five fish 10.03, 2nd: four fish 7.12; 3rd: four fish 5.15, lunker 3.6 lb. North Carolina Bassmasters is a TBF federated club that meets the second Monday of each month and fishes the following Saturday. Our tournament schedule starts in March and will finish up in November. Our next tournament will be July 19th at Gaston. We are a small club looking to expand membership.
