Water Clarity: 1 foot Fished Lee King Benefit tourney on Saturday. Caught numerous fish, most were in the 12-13" range.. 5 best fish went a little under 10 lbs. Weight could have been better, lost two 3+ fish and had several other good topwater bites that failed to hook up.
Had limit in the boat by 7:30am fishing topwater baits (Buzzbait, Poppers and floating plastics) near grass close to creek channels. Fish were holding on specific type of vegetation.. Fishing these areas were key to getting bites..
153 boats participated in the tournament with 22+lbs taking 1st.. Look forward to fishing again next year
