Water Clarity: Not reported

Back out yesterday on a rare weekend trip with Tim Serra and his 18 year old son who is headed off to basic trainning in two weeks. Today I was back out with long time client Terry Hunt. Fishing was excellent both days as we worked on the spots pretty good. The lake is still falling an inch per day and the water temps are holding in the low 80's. The water is very clear right now and fishing remains good.

The guys yesterday worked on the fish pretty good on top with spooks and basically any bait they threw. The guys did a great job not being use to working a bait all day long. They also did a great job fighing the crowds. It was crowded I assure you

Today, I fished along with Terry as I usually do and we both had a great day. Terry landed big fish of the day with a close to 5 pound spotted bass on a Triple Trout swimbait. We had 3 other fish over 4 pounds with two of them on topwater and one on a 1/2 ounce skinnybear football jig. I caught a few on the jig in the three pound range but one of them was 4.5 or so. We ended up with a monster stringer of spots. Over all is was a great day as Terry and I had three different doubles on today. Im talking two fish on one bait. He also lost his topwater to another double on the front runner rig. LOL.

I have some openings in the beginning to middle of August. If anyone is interested in doing some half day morning trips with topwater or spottails, let me know. It is also a great time for deep water dropshotting. I prefer half day morning trips that time of year but will swing a full day if you twist my arm hard enough.

Good luck out there

Ryan
