Date Fished: 7/7/2008 Water Temperature: 84 After taking the weekend off, I was back on the water today helping a couple of guys out of east Tennessee get ready for a up-coming tournament. As the week ended for me last week with great results today was no different. The bass are still active, we started with a top water bite and ended cranking deep water crank baits. We also fished Mister Twister 11 inch worms and had just another great day. We caught over 20 bass, had another day where we missed a lot of fish, as there seemed to be a period during the day where the bass were hitting short. We had a 5 bag weight of about 19 pounds and had plenty of action and a greeat time. We fished mid river up, fishing 5 to 10 feet of water targeting grass lines, humps, edges and points. Next week at this point is wide open with openings the 14th through the 18th. Come fish the grass its a great time on Guntersville.
