  Subject: Loch Raven, Maryland

Submitted by George desch (ip 68.55.30.126)

Date Fished: 7/7/2008
Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater

Bill and I fished sun up till about 10. I started off with a top water popper and got a LM bass 14" on the third cast. We fished the same cove as we had did last weekend and it was slow. So we switched coves and It was on. I lost count after 8 fish. Most were 15" range, though I did catch 4 using a spinner bait that were around 4lb range. Bill had the same results. Strangely, we did not hook into any pickerel. We always try to hook up with the toothy critters. Bates used ---(Jerk bait, popper, spinner bait) Area --- Turtle cove around to the foundation. We had fished the weekend before and was ruff. I caught only 1 nice LM Bass 4lbs. Bill had caught a couple bass and a couple pickerel. 1 was about 23 in. Another great day at the Loch.
