Water Clarity: 2-3 feet We’ve had fair to good top water action on the high part of the tide during the morning. The bass seemed to like a grass frog or buzzbaits and poppers worked over grass beds and along marsh edges. The bite slowed as the sun rose until the tide, made higher by the full moon, was at least half way out and then the action picked up. Stick worms
were the most productive baits for us. Any dark color worked. We rigged our baits wacky style around grasses and weedless when we worked around wood cover. Some bass would strike the stickworm when we would swim it across the tops of grasses. Chatterbaits and Mann’s Baby-1 Minus continue to catch bass also. The Bass like the Baby-1
Minus worked like a topwater bait, twitch it several times before starting a retrieve.
