Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Went out of smallwood for a shakdown run on my partner's new Z520. Fished Aquia and Chick. We caught over 40 bass from 9:30 to 3 pm. Weeds with brush hogs got the most bites. Senkos and crawfish plastics also caught fish. Nothing over 2.5 pounds but we did not hit the real heavy mats. Lots of misses on frogs, only 1 hookup. No takers on my Arkru Shad lipless cranks. Water in Aquia was very clear. Caught several fish we actually saw crusing in the weeds. The 90 Degree heat broke with a few welcome light showers. Very enjoyable day.
Here in the Northeast if your lake has typical summer 'heat stroke' find a way to afford the $4 a gallon gas and get on the potomac!!
