Water Clarity: 2-3 feet If you catch the right tide the action can be fast. The last three hours of an outgoing tide and the first hour of the incoming has been best for us. On the high end of the tide it’s almost just casting practice. The bass will hit almost any bait you throw. Grass frogs turn up good bass over grass as well as around pads and across shallow creek points. Top water poppers are productive during low light conditions and on the low end of the tide. Plastic worms as well as stick worms rigged wacky style are hard to beat when fished along edges of grass beds and on drop offs in front of marsh banks. Rattle Traps and spinnerbaits cast parallel to grass lines can result in a quick limit of good bass with some of our bigger fish coming on a white spinnerbait. Work the spinnerbaits just under the surface across grass points and into openings along clearly defined
grass edges. Our Snakehead bite has slowed a little. There is an Algae bloom in some of the creeks but it doesn’t seem to be detrimental to the fishing at this point.
