Date Fished: 8/15/2008 Falcon Lake is at appx 27 feet low, with a water temperature of about 90 degrees. We have stayed within 4" in water level for the last three weeks.. The fish are as shallow as I have ever seen them in the summer months. There are a LOT of fish being caught in less than three feet of water, and some quality fish too.. Big spinner baits, like the SOB in Talipia, and the Jo Baby FLT Special are killing the fish in the early morning hours, or anytime there is a little schooling activity in the bushes. We are throwing the spinnerbaits right up on the rocky points and dragging them between the bushes down the slopes. awesome.. We are also catching a lot of fish on jigs and big and small soft plastics. It just doesn't matter what you are throwing, justy a long as you are in the right spots.. And they are pretty easy to find. If you are planning a trip somewhere in the south this fall or spring, you'd have to be nuts not to at least consider a trip to Falcon..
